An Adventure in Peru

As you may already know, I'm going on a little adventure this year. Working with an organization called Projects Abroad, I'll be spending three months in Peru, where I'll simultaneously be teaching English and trying to improve my Spanish.

I'll be teaching in Cusco (in the Andean highlands) and living in Pisac, about 20 km away. I'm staying with a host family, the Rivera Villanuevas, who have two children and a live-in housekeeper named Vilma. Thankfully, the house has a bathroom with warm water, and I'll have my own bedroom. Beyond that, I'll have to wait and see!

I'm leaving Jan. 4, and I'll be home March 30. In between, I'll be using this blog to post updates and photos. If you have any questions about life in Peru, just let me know!

  2. Hoping you made it safely! Looking forward to living vicariously through you, since I'm not much of an adventurer myself! Jenny
